Virgin Atlantic No Direct Flights Manchester

Hi all

Having a look on VA app for flights for next May into June just out of interest with prices and no direct flights are showing up at all, only indirects.

The schedule keeps saying error when I’m checking route.

Anyone have any idea on what’s going on is it just a glitch? Can anyone see direct flights for next May and June?

Just tried for you and I get same results with random dates in Apr, May and Jun. Only indirect + daft fares offered. Hopefully a glitch which they'll fix asap.

Non-stop flights are still timetabled (at least to mid-July), but availability is zeroed out in all cabins and booking classes. Just checked a few dates. Could be various reasons for this, just have to wait and see.

I’ve booked return flights from Manchester this week 18 April to 2 May. There were 2 flights per day. Their website is quite glitchy so keep trying 🤗

I know a few people in logistics roles in the airlines. The big transatlantics are desperately trying to put a calm face of things but truth is it’s utter turmoil like nothing anybody has ever seen. They don’t know which way is up, down or sideways at the moment.

You may find that all of the direct flights will be full since they changed from 747 to A330 so the only option left is indirect

Out of interest I looked at Virgin for our usual Man - Atl - RSW route, not there - they're offerring 18 or 19 hour travel times from Man - CDG - Atl - RSW in PE for £988, not a chance, we will not fly East when our destination is West. For circa £350 more I found business class flights involving 12 hours of travel time.

Looked for Man to MCO as we have miles to use and don't mind driving to/from Bokeelia, but no direct flights showing on the dates I played around with.

Unlikely that all flight dates are full for May especially since they are meant to still have two flights. A day and we’re showing fine availability a couple of days ago.

Really hoping this is a glitch as we were hoping to book direct flights from Manchester for July next year.

I’ve got a thread going about flights from Heathrow for February half term..for the exact reason...I’m just hoping that it is a glitch! 🙂
