Flying from Bristol with Tui 20th Aug 2022 for 14 nights
2 adults 2 children (17&14) luggage etc
14 nights cabana bay tower family suite £5140

The girls want the universal experience having stayed in Disney the last time, I wanted I drive for cheaper food options but not finding something that looks ok for our family; I guess we can Uber ?

Help August virgins!
I think that’s a good price for the family suite. We used Lyft when we didn’t have a car and found it really cheap ( from I drive to universal) so should be no problem to go elsewhere for food. If it’s back on next year, you could always get tickets for the Halloween party at Disney. We did this in 2018 when we previously planned universal ‘only’.

I don’t think that quote is too bad, for the whole time onsite at Cabana Bay, I would have done the same but my husband refuses to stay in a hotel for the entire time 🙄. If it’s a price you’re happy with then that’s all that matters. Next year is so uncertain that I think we have to bite the bullet, and we always have a max price in our head and as long as we’re within that we’re happy!
Do you mind me asking who you booked with please? This seems a very good price. I have trouble getting an online price that lets me split between villa and hotel.

I think thats a decent price. We are paying £4900 for 2 weeks this Aug in Endless summer resort in a suite. We may have to transfer to next year with the way things are looking. We also booked with tui back in Nov 2019.

Of course, we booked the fly drive direct with virgin, Hard Rock with Travel Republic and the villa is a dibb villa booked direct with the owner. We have friends coming with us so the villa cost is spilt. All booked on deposit only, I just have to book a hotel for the night we land in Miami but I have credit with hotels.com and BA executive club points to use for that. We live 10-15 from Heathrow so don’t have to worry about car parking or hotels the night before.

Thank you. That is a good price and I shall look into doing something similar now you have given me some ideas. I just love the planning!

You’re welcome. We like flying into Miami as always wake up by the sea on our first morning and makes us feel like, yep, we’re on holiday now! We do drive up about an hour outside of Miami though and stay on Deerfield Beach, we’re in no rush to be at the parks so just enjoy a drive up and stop at Vero beach for brunch.
