Possible problem with Alamo skip the queue

So I used my Santander bank card to set up skip the queue with Alamo (virgin holidays) now we travel Monday ( Manchester) and my bank had a few odd transactions overnight I asked he bank what they were and they said it had been “compromised “ so that card has been stopped .
So in 48 hours I fly. I obviously won’t get a new card in time so ...
1 when I get to Alamo Queue skip when they check my card it will be no good ( do they swipe it again or just check the numbers ?)
2 phoned virgin but their customer services are closed

Any ideas guys ?

I would just explain the situation to them when you arrive & use another card if you can, sounds very dodgy something to do with Alamo then 🤔

I often book with one card and present a different card as I leave the garage. Never had a problem.

Card just needs to be in the lead drivers name, doesn’t have to be the same Card you registered with.

Don’t worry about it. I’ve done my on line checkin already for March and if I have the same card then great. If like last time I had been given a new card it’s no issue. You hand over the payment card at the exit barrier where they then take the details so don’t worry.

I invariably use a different card to book than the one I use at the exit barrier.

The reason I do this is I get Airmiles with the Virgin card so book the car with that one. However it's not foreign transaction fee free so I use one that is at the barrier.
They couldn't care less, all they want is a valid card in the renters name.
