I had originally booked with dollar first time ever this year but horror stories about people trying to get refunds on there return due to fees being charged which they didn’t agree too. Plus not sure if dollar expect a payment receipt for fuel on return close to McO (others may also want this) in the end I found Alamo not much more and went for them as I like to pick my own and skip the counter means a lot to me.

I have used Dollar at MCO and no issues whatsoever.
When I arrived at the garage I was told to select a vehicle from the row and off we went.
Return was simple. Agent had a look at the mileage and passed a receipt will a zero balance.
Hope this helps

Hi thanks

My concern is around the tolls

Flying into Orlando international
Driving down to champions gate.2 weeks will spend going back and forth to the Disney/universal and one trip to Busch.

What’s my options?

Don’t want to get stung for a big bill when I return home.

Thanks

With Dollar, you can either opt in or out of their plate pass system, which must be done at the counter.
If you opt in then your card will be debited $52.45 per week. This is to include admin fees and all toll charges, so there is nothing else to pay.
Good system if you are going to rake up toll charges.
A better way is to sign up for the Visitor toll pass.
You sign up on line and collect a rear view mirror hanger from a booth at Orlando International Airport. Collect your rental vehicle, I would mention to Dollar that you do not wish to opt into their plate pass system as you have chosen the visitor toll pass system, hang the the pass onto the rear view mirror then off you go.
There are no admin fees to pay and the only charges you will have on your selected credit card will be for the tolls you have used at a reduced rate.
Just remember to stay in the left hand lane as you approach a toll and drive through.
Hope this helps

I’m going may 2020

Is the visitor pass a trial just now?

The visitor pass is a trial but has been extended until July 2020.
Just go on and sign up for it. If you don’t use it nothing is lost.
