Lovely almost brand new 2023 X5. Sadly no choice but this was what we wanted (even if husband did squeak a bit when I told him another Dibber got a Maserati! )

17k on the clock but clean and faultless with the added benefit of a top quality built in sat nav. We drove 320 miles in it and topped up the tank for £30.

I think it's the V6 ecoboost with selectable 4WD.

It's ridiculous, I have to do a five or seven point turn to back out of a carpark space... but it's fun! Loads of room in the cab for luggage or six people. Android auto. Surprisingly quick for the size too. Got it covered in dirt and dust at Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive today too 🤣

I would say give it a miss if you have mobility issues as the step up in to it could be challenging.

Category of car hired:- Extraordinary (X7 or similar)
Make of car you got:- As booked
Hire car company used:- Sixt
Cost :- £725 + Approx $83 refuel fee

Lovely car to drive, I’d say 3 row only suitable for smaller kids and hardly any boot space with the 3rd up. We got 4 extra large suitcases and 2 carry’s ons in the boot with the 3rd row down.

We signed up for skip the desk and went straight to the Alamo garage to choose a car which was brilliant. Alamo rep asked to see confirmation email then pointed us to the SUV line and told us to pick one.

We were really happy with the Rogue. Only 8 miles on the clock so brand spanking new! 😎 Easily acommodated two three-wheel mobility scooters with back seats down and two large and two small cases with back seats up.

Alamo premium elite suv.

Picked up our car last night from alamo at Tampa.

We booked directly through alamo brits and it was £522 for 17 days.

The lineup consisted of one x5 (that we very nearly picked), a couple of bmw x3s, Audi Q3, Cadillac xt5 and one xt6. (There were lots of other cars but all small looking suvs which we just skipped right past). I would say there was a total of 15 cars to choose from on 2 lines.

I’d already done my research and knew that the Cadillac xt6 had 7 seats which is what our kids wanted (teens like to sit as far away from each other as possible &#129315
Not going to lie my husband sulked for a good 10 mins about not picking the x5 but once he had driven the Cadillac that soon changed.

We put one of the very back row seats down and fit all 3 cases in.
It’s got cooling seats, Apple car play, reversing camera and full glass panoramic roof. It really does feel like a premium pick!
I’ll try and add a few more pictures of the interior on later!

Alamo full size SUV MLB

Place you picked the car up from:- Melbourne airport
Category of car hired:- Full size SUV
Make of car you got:- Jeep Wagoneer III
Hire car company used:- Alamo (Italian link)
Cost: £308 pay in advance for 7 days.
At the Alamo desk I was given the choice of a Nissan Armada, high mileage Yukon or a Jeep Wagoneer with 22k miles.
Lots of gadgets Sat Nav, Apple CarPlay, WiFi hotspot, surround camera, adaptive cruise, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, full length sunroof etc
Can comfortably fit 8 people with space for a few cases or 5 people with loads of luggage space.
Averaging 19mpg and plenty of power for overtaking.

MCO full size

Place hired car from: Alamo MCO
Dates: 17th sep-1st oct
Purchased through staff travel so price not comparable
Category: full size SUV
Car: Jeep wagoneer

Originally got a kind offer of 3 different colour choices of a Nissan armada, which I declined having seen the guy rummaging through a box of keys to pick out these 3. Reluctantly offered this wagoneer which I accepted, had 32k miles on the clock but was in really good shape. Wireless car play, wireless charging, V8 engine, cooling seats every option possible. Loads of room for 4 cases plus 2 carry on cases with the back row of seats folded down
Pictures aren’t uploading 🤦
