"Error Counter Bypass is not allowed" - Sorted
I ended up working out the reason why I could not complete STC, I totally forgot that I booked it with my previous card that now expired. Its a pity that Alamo could not work that out.
I ended up cancelling and rebooking through the ustravel-nl link and saved another $60! Thanks for all replies. |

This exact thing just happened to me but the only way i could get the Skip the Counter ticket was to hit 'submit'. Now it looks like I have been charged again (at a higher price than my original booking! ) and i now have 2 rentals? nightmare. Anybody know how to get Skip the Counter ticket without duplicating bookings and paying twice?

Just a follow up to this...
I have noticed it has cancelled my original booking and i have paid £10 more for the privilege too. So a heads up for anybody out there make sure you do the STC as soon as you complete the initial booking. otherwise you may lose the savings you made if the rental price rises again. |

I booked a few weeks ago with Alamo Brits. I paid in full, completed OLCI but didn't do STC as was rushing. I know there's been a glitch with Alamo lately so I waited until my prices had come down before amending booking and then planned on STC. Booking amended just fine, link for STC was given. Completed the details it had £0 at the bottom as had already paid but when I hit submit it said counter bypass not allowed! I know I meet the requirements, it states as much and provides the link. HELP 🙏

Has anyone paid in full recently and been able to submit STC? I've read it's only possible with pay later but then why are they providing the link stating you qualify for STC?
I've cancelled twice already but I'm wondering if I should do so again but then book as pay later. I'm just nervous they'll end up not honouring whatever that price may be 😕 |

It’s been a while and plenty of posts! since I created this sticky 😂 but I’ve just done another STC for my upcoming booking and it’s as easy as it’s always been!
The only problem I had was it wouldn’t let me add my driving licence info on the accelerated check in page. This was BEFORE I’d reserved the car. To resolve I simply backed out, reserved the car and then completed it afterwards followed by STC. Edit - I’ve also updated the sticky for Accelerated Check In and STC. Edited at 02:30 PM. |

Just to clarify, if I book through Alamo Brits can I skip the counter? Also do I need to do accelerated check in first? Did skip the counter back in 2018 and it was a dream no queueing.
