Disneyland Hotel - December 2019

Good Morning!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful morning

Me and my wife are travelling to the wonderful Disneyland Paris resort together for the first time this December. Our usual stomping ground is WDW but with a number of things going on in our life we needed something to magical to tie off a not so magical year.

As you can tell from the title we are travelling to the Disneyland Hotel in December, and as this is my first time staying in a Disney hotel I don't know what to expect or what I should be looking for.

One thing that has been mentioned and is something I would like to consider is the Castle Club upgrade.

What I'd like to know is what Disney look for generally in price to upgrade to this package? And did you find it worth it?

Thanks for your response in advance

As a guide the Castle Club rooms are usually around double the price of the standard rooms, these rooms are never included in special offers/discounts meaning they are very expensive.

To get an idea of the cost, price up your trip with Magic Breaks - they are one of the few agents that publish the Castle Club prices online. This will give you a ball park figure for the cost. You can then speak to your own agent to amend your booking if you wish.

Hope that helps.

Thank you Stubbs

Just done a little digging, looks to be adding about £300 per night on average.

I already have the Premium full board package so just need to weigh up the cost with this now.

Have you allowed for the extra discount you should get for already having the premium meal plan? (ie to allow for the fact that you’ll have breakfast included in Castle Club, so you won’t need to pay for the breakfast part of your meal plan.)

We’d love to do this one day (hopefully when we return to DLP after our WDW trip next year.) We stayed in the Disneyland Hotel with premium dining at Christmas 2017, and it was the most magical experience. We’ll definitely be going back at that time of year, but the dream is to stay in Castle Club! Enjoy, whatever you decide.

Spoke to one of the Walt Disney International representatives before, they have informed me that I will not be able to upgrade my current package because I have the free premium half board. They allowed me to upgrade to the full at an additional cost but not to purchase Castle Club.

Ah yes, I didn’t realise you had the free half board offer - if you’d paid for the dining plan, the cost would have been off-set against the Castle Club breakfast. It’s a shame that Castle Club isn’t included in offers, so you’d lose the dining plan by booking CC.

I’d imagine they’d have let you pay for the dining plan, but I guess the cost to do that AND upgrade to Castle Club would have meant £400+ per night to upgrade, even just for half board.
