Thinking of cancelling

Those chants at the Trump rally have really upset me and I’m thinking of cancelling.

I just don’t know if I will feel safe.

My DS has told me not to worry and Orlando will be fine.

Sorry if this post is not appropriate, but it really has frightened me.

It frightens me that people can be so short sighted and so selfish, as ultimately that's what it comes down to. (I mean the people at the rallies)

I would expect you will feel safe, particularly on Disney/Universal property, and in the built up areas which are where the more cosmopolitan, accepting of all people attitudes reside.

Rednecks have always existed in the southern states. They haven't suddenly become the majority, just rent a crowd to make the moron Trump look good. It's still the stupid sad minority it always was ... just like we have here sadly.

They aren't exactly rednecks though, more white, middle-aged women.

OP, please don't worry, you will feel perfectly safe in Disney and the surrounding areas where people are friendly and rely on tourism.

I never even thought anything about it to be honest. Its usually only a few prats who do these things. Look at our own country! The media is the worse of all reporting things that are just untrue but twisting them to sound more controversial Even the Trump saying 'go back to where you came from' is untrue if you read what he actually wrote. Dont give it a thought and just enjoy your holiday.
