Hoping to go there this evening. Do we need an ADR? I have a Landry’s card (although only on my phone). Husband is desperate for fried chicken 😁

Cracker Barrel is just a "homely" chain of restaurants where we have breakfast regularly and dinner occasionally. Never heard of it taking bookings - it's always a walk up for us with maybe a 10 minute wait at most.

Confused about your Landry's reference though?

Definitely not somewhere that takes reservations. It is more popular at breakfast so it shouldn't be an issue getting a table. Not a Landry's chain either. If you are expecting it to be similar you may be disappointed. It is much more "cheap and cheerful " ( or better value) and doesn't serve any alcohol.

45mins when we called in last Sunday at 12 noon, to the one near Formosa Gardens. Went to TGI Fridays next door. That was a mistake.

Sunday "brunch" time must be the busiest time of the week.

Never done brunch but also 90% of the time we go to the one down 27 near Posner. Sometimes a bit busy turning into Dunson Road with school buses at breakfast time.

Perkins, Bob Evans and CB are always quieter down there than the ones on 192 - not so much passing tourist trade I guess. Six and two threes for us travel wise.

One correction to my 10 minute experience actually. We did wait 20 minutes for breakfast last Thanksgiving weekend at the 192 one.

Hope Welsh Sara's husband enjoyed his chicken

Mick the ones you speak about on the 27 are our locals
Never used to have to wait but now We do more locals than tourist still
And set to get even busier with al the homes that are being built
I don't do breakfast but DH does he's hopingbthe new Starbucks at Posner will make them less busy
Do love a wander round the Cracker Barrel store though

Helen

We have bought a few Christmas bits when we are there in Nov/Dec but haven't managed to bring a rocking chair home yet.

No room for a rocking chair with all the B&BW stuff I'm afraid.

Dread to think what it will be like when they open at Posner only 8 miles away.
