Anyone tried this place please?

DH and DF have been searching for 'authentic' BBQ places to go and want to try this but its looks to be a way out, so just checking its worth the drive from LBV area.

Yes. And yes!
The staff were great & food was delicious. It's very laid back, eating off plastic trays, but many BBQ smokehouses are. They have a couple of locations in the Orlando area, so worth checking which one is closest to you.
DH enjoyed it so much, he also bought one of their t-shirts

Yes, went to the Kirkman Road one in Feb. Had brisket, pulled pork and chicken it was delicious. We have been to the one in Apopka which is a table service one too. Lovely lady made us coffee specially, the food was just as good.

We liked it but prefer 4 rivers. There is a 4 rivers now in Kissimmee may be nearer you ?

We have been several times to the one on Conroy Rd (about 10 mins drive from Universal) it is super casual and full of locals. The food was delicious and the staff were really friendly. I do also however love 4Rivers, their BBQ is amazing, my husband said their ribs were the best he has ever eaten. I like the sampler platter because I can never choose what to have 😊 We visited the one in Kissimmee, which had not long been open but be prepared to wait, the queue's can get enormous!

Going against the grain here... I didn't think the food was that good TBH
I do quite a bit of smoking / BBQ at home and the family thought the food didn't live up to what we have at home...

I went to Smokey Bones when over working with a colleague last year and thought it was far better, will be returning here when we go back next year

[On a side note - I went to a Weber restaurant in Chicago 2 weeks ago and its the best BBQ I have ever had - superb]

went to the kirkman branch a while ago (2015?) and loved it!

i prefer barbecue joints that serve the meat "dry" and then let you choose which sauce you put on it. bubbalous is one of these places...
