Parking
Hi all,
I have a question about parking in the parks do you know if you need cash or can you pay on a card? Any tips for parking? We are staying in Kissimee unsure where yet. Thank you for reading |

Someone will be along to confirm card payments I'm sure.
No real tips on parking except follow the signs and marshals as soon as you pass through the plaza. It is amazingly well managed but you must follow the lanes that you are directed to. It's $20 a day at the four WDW parks but you can use the same ticket at the four parks on the same day. It is not too popular on the DIBB to try and by-pass the official parking process by parking at resorts and using WDW transport for instance. Mick

I've definitely paid by card at Disney, fairly sure at universal and seaworld as well
On tip if you are only going for an evening (off peak dates) you quite often will not need to pay if you arrive after 7pm. Another tip, American cars have a button on the key which beeps your horn. Very useful if you can't remember where you parked! |

As Mick above ahead its a big no no to try to park at the resorts for free. However if you have a dining reservation for at somewhere like Chef Mickeys at Contemporary Resort you do get 3 hours free parking at the resort.

Tip for parking - take a photo of the Row number and your Character, makes it easy to find. One car we had, when we bleeped the car the boot opened, again useful for finding!

But even then you might only be able to valet park. Disney does restrict parking to hotel guests only at some resorts at very busy times, the Boardwalk being a prime example.

Yes you can pay by card and in fact the transaction is quicker than paying by cash!

Hi Stars
you dont say if you are doing any other Parks, but last year we did Discovery cove, and seaworld and Busch gardens, and with the tickets we got free parking at these sites, but cant remember if it was a one off or as part of doing Discovery Cove, i got tickets from Attractions direct. |

Can I ask the procedure for paying to park pls? Our first time hiring a car! Do we pay at a booth (from car seat) when driving into the car park or visit a pay booth on foot? Is it the same for both Disney and Universal?
Thanks Tracey xx |
