Uber from MCO

Hi,

I know we cannot get an Uber to pick us up from the airport on arrival, but does anyone know the nearest point we could get a free shuttle to so that we can request one from there? also do the shuttles need proof of stay?

It said on the Sticky you could not get an Uber from MCO - but I only read the first page, so wouldn't have seen any updates...

Excellent news the system has been updated - that will save a lot of faffing around - Thank you

I think it's been just recent that they've negotiated a contract at MCO, you can't get the budget version from the airport but you can back.

Just looked at the link and seems easy enough - never used uber before. Happy as i was struggling to find a reasonably priced transfer from sfb.

We used them for the first time last year and found them really easy and reliable.
We had the magical express for the transfers so didn’t need to use them for that - staying off site this year so need to get to and from the airport.

Make you sure you get a code from another uber user so you can get a free ride worth up to ex. an amount of currency.
If you need one, let me know. But this only applies to your first ride and if you have never used it before.

Also, consider using lyft. It's a popular competitor to Uber and is sometimes cheaper and has better service ( well at least here in the DC area0>

Does the code have to be used for your first ride? Was hoping to use it for going to MK which won't be first ride

Also, the last time we were their we used the hotel taxi and the driver paid at the booth at MK to get to transportation centre.Who pays when using Uber, the driver?

Yes, it has to be the first ride. It a welcome to Uber reward that goes on your account, it's used the first Uber ride.

If you've already used Uber, you can't get the welcome voucher.

You should just ask for a drop off at Disney, they souldn't charge a parking fee. We drop off all the time and never pay a fee.
