Avis Preferred / BA Booking

Apologies if this has been covered before - I tried a search, but no luck.
I booked a Flydrive with BA and I am an Avis Preferred member and BA Executive club member. Am I right in thinking that being an Executive Member gives a free named additional driver to the booking?
I'm also struggling to link up the BA booking with Avis. When I view the BA car voucher it says;

This booking does not include Avis Preferred service as the number you have supplied is not a valid Avis Preferred membership number. To enjoy Avis Preferred service on future bookings, please join at avisba/preferred. We look forward to welcoming you as an Avis Preferred customer next time you make a booking.

Should I be contacting BA regarding linking the booking, or Avis?
Thanks in advance for any help!

I registered on the Avis Preferred webpage then emailed them with all my details. 48hrs later I got an email saying they were linked. I can now se my booking when I log in to avis preferred.

You do get an additional driver free. I booked our rental from LAX through BA/Avis, but did e-mail Avis to double check DW would be free and they confirmed this.

I have posted this before - this was the answer I got from BA

As an Executive Club member, you are entitled for a free additional driver with every rental.

Your Executive Club membership number needs to be associated with your car booking. However, we are currently unable to add membership number to your car bookings online. At the time of pick up of your vehicle, Avis Car Rental Company will swipe your card or you can provide your membership number at vehicle collection. This will ensure that you get an additional driver.

I have not emailed Avis as the posters above have done - but I may do.
