Alamo Brits - Proof?

I've heard that you have to show a booked called "The Brit Guide to Orlando". Has anyone who has booked a car using this link had to show this? If so, what version do they accept? Thinking I could get hold of a second hand older cheaper version of the book if it is required or would I need to show the 2017 version if collecting the car this year?

Thanks!

If you do skip the counter then who would you even show the book to? ;-)

Nobody has ever been asked for it. They have a multitude of codes available for discounts, Brits being just one. All they want is the booking and to get you out with a car.

I do not know who told you this but it was more than likely some one has has not used it.
I have never been asked
I have never witnessed anyone being asked
I have never heard of any one being asked.

I do not think any members of the rental staff care about what discount you got and how you got it.
If you are worried you can always download a pdf copy to your phone.
You can find them for a few £ or even for free

We've had numerous bookings through Alamo Brits over the years, never been asked for the book, either at the counter (which we skip now), or the exit barrier.

If I ever was asked I (which I don't think I ever will be ) I would just say I was reading it on the plane and accidently left it on board !

Hijack question here, but there are 2 conditions for AlaBrits.
First one is the book, which is never enforced
Second one is being that prices are only available to UK drivers license holders

I am an EU license holder, not UK.
I have used Brits in the past, but I was wondering if it would still be alright to do it again.
I mean, they won't check the country the license is issued by, as long as it's not US or Canadian. And the front page clearly states that "only applicable to UK and not applicable to US/CA" so I was wondering, is the "only UK" really means "rest of the world" like it does for the Disney's UK only ultimate tickets, or is it strictly UK ?

Once again, I know they won't bat an eye with an EU license, as it's non American. But what if something happened, like a crash, would Alamo try to bail out because of a breach of contract ?

The "UK only" requirement only appears on the first page. There is no confirmation required, no box to tick, no nothing. And the rental agreement does not mention residency at all, and no mention on nationality of license.

So far AlaBrits + fuel is same price as my German booking (incl. fuel) but, for future bookings, what do you think ? Is that taking a risk ?

Look, it's just another discount code. Nothing more, nothing less. About 3 years ago when the website crashed while I was trying to book I ended up ringing Alamo to get the discount. He'd never heard of the Brits Guide, but just did a price match discount (didn't need the second driver that time as it was just me and DD).

You will get a voucher which you present to the desk (be it in the terminal or in the car park). All they want to know is that you have paid in full for a particular grade of car, and that they can scan your CC and complete the paperwork. We have also asked for - and been given - free upgrades in the garage. I just told them at the exit that we'd been given a free upgrade, and that was it.

Same here. I don't have a UK license (Dutch) and have booked multiple times with Brits and never had any problems. In the term and conditions there is only a mention that the offer is not ellegable for US or Canadian license holders. No mention in some kind about UK licenses.
And the book... never had one and never heared from anyone that they have been asked to show it.
