That’s a blast from the past, I can remember having the DDE.

With the TIW discount, not just TS but a few QS locations such as Value Resorts, POFQ and a couple in AK give the discount as well. We also got the discount on Refillable mugs at the above QS locations and Kidani shop.

As I said on another thread, you have to take into account discounts you would have got anyway being an AP or DVC owner. DVC now has 10% off in nearly every TS restaurant, not on alcohol though. Also I only tip 15% in Disney (well enough based on food price) so with TIW you could lose another 3% there meaning if you don't drink , the saving is potentially only 7% . This can make break even point very high.
If you are there a long time , spend a lot on food (lots of signatures, large party) and/ or have quite a few drinks, the it's a no brainer. If however like me you go for 2 weeks, and don't buy a lot of drinks, family of 4, I can't make it pay.
If it was still $50 I'd get it, but not now. It's purely a mathematical calculation.

Basically the card gives you free tips and 2% discount if you prefer to think of it that way.
Thank you! Well explained

Ran some sums today and for our 2week trip for 7 of us. 4 adults how might have a beer/cocktail or 2 I think we’ll be about $40 better off having if, and that doesn’t account for any extra drinks at places like jocks hanger bar which has become a favourite place of ours.

I know it’s not a massive saving but every little helps

Doesn’t it save you a bit on tax too? My understanding was the tax was based on the discounted price (ie after the 20% is taken off)

Yeah, about $1.15 on every hundred you spend before discount I reckon.
