MDE mobile ordering with two reservations

Hi

Hope someone can help.

Me, my dh and ds10 are going home for Halloween .

Also joining us are mil and fil on a separate booking.

I have linked their booking to ours and it is showing on MDE but from then I’m stuck!

Can I go and order meals for us all using my magic band or do I need one of theirs for their order so to use their allocations on the qsdp?

Also my main query is when preordering on the app how do I allocate the meals or will all of our allowances be linked together?

As you can pay for anyone's meals on the dining plan , they don't need to be on your booking or even Disney guests I can't see it'd cause problems so long as you keep an eye on which the credits for each room was taken from. The mobile thing has only just started though so by November there will be lots more posts about exactly how it worked for people anyway.

Thanks for your reply, its funny the things you thing of in the early hours that make you worry - as you say I am sure by Autumn things will have been ironed out and it will seem so easy.

We were in the the same position in 2016 and will be this year: me, my DF, and two DS are on one booking and my parents on another. To use your in laws credits you’d have to use one of their magic bands. The same goes for mobile ordering, your credits will be seperate. I’m not sure if there’s a way of pooling all your credits. It may be worth asking when you check in.
