My thoughts on using the DDP for Signatures: If you have spare credits, been to Universal for instance, & otherwise they are going to waste, then it is a good use but unless you are really taking the most expensive item on the menu, you are in essence using an $90 credit for a $70-$80 meal plus you are also paying OOP for an additional meal to replace that extra credit. We are also "starter" people, we have a weeks free DDP & TBH that's about right for us & can eat off-site & pick & choose on-site for our second booking but if it wasn't Free I certainly wouldn't buy it.

Having had a look I think I agree. I think I will pay OOP for California Grill and use my dining credits on everything else. I think I'll be glad to get away from Disney restaurants after the first week too

TBH it's not because the food isn't good, but all the planning that goes into it! We had it for 3 weeks once, never again, the holiday became all about the food! We are glad we have it for the first week, as we have been moved to AKL & that's definitely not the 15 min walk to offsite restaurants that SSR is !

I’m looking forward to trying it as we got it during free dining. Hiping to give the kids the fill of character meals and the like in the hope they are bored of them by the last two weeks and we can hit long horns and the like without booking them 6 months in advance 🤣

Looking at your possible ADR's, I don't think we will be in competition for those "hot " seats ! The only one we have in common is Tusker & I think we will do lunch or dinner. We have changed our plans slightly because of the AKL move, as normally on our non=park days, we would eat in DS or walk to the Crossroads. So far the only one on our list that we have eaten at is Boma & then off-site we tend to stick to the ones we know & love.

We’d planned a couple of meals at DS too but our move to Beach club has also meant changing that
