It's very much out in the open. The German market is also there at the moment in Millenium Square and that is all outdoors.

You will have a blast, Leeds is great for shopping. As someone said the German market is there and well worth a visit. I have to agree that Browns is a wonderful place to eat and ... drink

I used to work in Leeds and we used to eat out at Stefano's, Bibi's or Dino's - all of them are excellent. Not sure is Stefano's is still there though - it is 14 years since I worked in Leeds but know that the other 2 are still very popular.
I can't think where Selfridges is - anyone can tell me where? |

We went shopping to Leeds a couple of weeks ago, i'd never been before. We had a really lovely day out.
It's mostly uncovered, but the main streets were pedestrianised and were really wide so it didn't feel too busy. There were all of the usual shops, marks, house of fraser as well as lots of designer ones too. Harvey nicks had a nice food hall but disappointingly no christmas department! There isn't a selfridges - i thought there was too and went round asking people were it was !

DS1 is at Uni in Leeds and wants me to go for a shopping day there with him but I just know it will be a really expensive shopping trip LOL I'm waiting until after Christmas for the sales and will go then.
