Toy guns at Disney Studios
Hi - last time we went to Orlando, we bought our younger son 2 wood and metal toy guns from outside the Indiana Jones show at Disney Studios.
He is absolutely desperate to go back and buy more - there was a 'shotgun' there that I said was too big to take back so maybe we can fit it in this time Are these toy guns still sold there? |

I'm pretty sure they still had them last summer.

i definitely saw some in Magic Kingdom, near the Pirates ride - I remember them as I didn't think they felt right in Magic Kingdom, yet obviously they fit the Pirates theme/

Would they be classed as an "imitation firearm" and banned from the plane?

I just want to say I can't believe you go all the way to Orlando and only visit one Disney Park

Hi
we bought some guns at Disney studios but were told at Virgin checkin that they could not be placed in normal luggage but had to be placed in a special bag which we had to pick up from the red channel at customs at Gatwick . This was a few years ago so I presume the security will be tighter now Baz |

When we came back with two of the Disney guns 2 years ago, we just put them in our check-in luggage - no problem! They came with a sticker on them, saying that is how they should be transported - no kidding - can you imagine taking them in hand luggage?!
Re: only going to one Disney park, we have visited various Disney parks over the years and now our boys are 12 and 10, they are not interested in seeing Disney characters and would prefer to spend their time in Universal/Islands, Seaworld, BG and - this year - we are going to Discovery Cove and the Crystal River area for snorkelling and scuba diving too. I'm sure it won't be our last trip either ... |
