I will freak if TWD gets dropped! Although it wouldn't stop me going to HHN every year!

I'm possibly planning a quick seven day trip for the last week in September and was wondering how best to do HHN. The OH and I done it horribly wrong in 2015 where our nights got mixed up and we rushed to it one Sunday evening without very limited preparation and didn't end up doing a single house due to the wait times. We done a couple of shows and walked round lost all night. So basically was wondering...
-What day(night) would be best to attend? (least busy). -What ticket would be best to buy? (Would only have the maximum of one and a half days for US & IoA). -Does the park close from 5pm-7pm for change around? (I'm thinking could park hop that day, maybe IoA afternoon and then get over for HHN that same night).

In late September I would say Thursday or Sunday
If you are only going the one day you can get a single night tickets or if you were to go for two nights "Rush of Fear" tickets which will become available June time may be better value and will give you access for more than one night for little more than the cost of one night However on top of that think about either an RIP tour (front of the line access to all the houses as part small group) or Express passes which will work out at about $100 per person per night. With express passes you still queue but it is usually about half the time of the normal queue. (And just to get really confusing if you are going for more than one night - Rush of Fear can come with an add on for express pass for each night!) If you are only going for one night, you may want to stay in Universal when it closes. There are a couple of "holding areas" where you can chill and have the advantage that you are let out into the first house ahead of the main crowds coming in (and you avoid the queues getting in) Hope this all helps

Hi...
Am I right in thinking last year they extended HHN by a couple of nights? (Or did I dream it?!) Is anyone aware when the last HHN will be in 2017?
