Post office parcel delivery problem

Wondering if anyone has had this issue?

I posted 2 parcels last Friday on their 48 hour tracked service, Sunday they were at the sorting office, Monday early am it gave me delivery slots of 4 hours, ten minutes later it says they’ve been delivered! Neither of them have been delivered, any idea where I go next? could they have been incorrectly scanned do you think?

They’re Xmas gifts so I need to sort it ASAP x

Yes - they will update your tracking to show at a depot . That is what has happened to mine a few times over last month or so - infact I ordered a couple of things from M&S at the weekend - 2 Pairs of cords. Same style just different colours One was delivered the other says it was but now back at depot - both Royal Fail (and why M&S had to send in 2 separate a parcels is be beyond me )

I had exactly the same issue - placed an order for 4 items for my mum with M&S, one was delivered via Hermes, 1 by Royal Mail with two item in and the 3rd Royal Mail delivery says it was delivered but she's not received it. I contacted RM via twitter and have emailed them the details but not heard anything back yet.

Ahh, another M & S Cords wearer! My Wife detests them but I love them.

I've had 2 problems with Royal Mail deliveries, I was the customer on each occasion and chose the next day delivery option - both orders were Hotel Chocolat. The main sorting office sent them both to the wrong delivery office. The second one was sent to 3 wrong delivery offices! I rung HC about it on both occasions as I'd specifically paid more for next day delivery. On the occasion where it went to 3, HC sent me a replacement after it had gone to 2. The original order finally arrived 2 days after I had received the replacement. I rung HC, told them and asked for a returns label so I could send it back and they told me I could just keep it at no charge.

I love them - tried lots of other brands some cheaper many more expensive but M&S cords work the best for me 👍

I was posting some parcels this morning, the lady in the post office told me that Royal Mail are really swamped at the moment, apparently there has been a 250% increase in the number of parcels being sent at the moment over this time last year. She was warning me that they will take longer than normal to be delivered.

Not good enough though sadly. Excuses don’t feed the kids.

I have placed 5 separate orders with Amazon today as we looked at gifts for the Grandchildren and also my Wife wanted something. All being delivered tomorrow or at the latest Thursday. One item is coming Saturday but that was advertised as such and is a supply issue not a delivery issue.
I know they will all arrive on time.

The Royal Mail needs to shape up a bit sharpish and not take 5 days to deliver a letter I know was posted last Friday.

How would you suggest Royal Mail shape up? They’ve recruited extra staff but have numerous more parcels than any year before. The centres aren’t used to dealing with the number of parcels. I work in a Post Office and it’s been horrendous since the first lock down.

People need to show compassion and realise these aren’t normal times.

Rant over!
