Colleague blaming me for a problem that she caused

Hi,

Apologies for the delay in updating. I had the meeting with the CMO this morning, turns out that my colleague admitted it all herself to the CMO this morning (before I had my meeting), during the meeting the CMO took a statement from me and ask me to forward him all evidence/correspondence I have relating to this matter.
Been told he is going to "have a chat with her and resolve this matter"
Think they are trying to minimise it as generally she is one of our top performing staff within the marketing department.

I'm glad she actually stood up and admitted it ,but you certainly deserve one heck of an apology from her after what she's put you through! ... a nice relaxing evening with a glass or 2 is needed me thinks !

Glad you are in the clear. I wonder if your colleague has got mental health issues for her to do what she has done knowing she wouldn't get away with it.

You are a better person then me. I would raise a grievance. They was all gung ho when they thought it was you. Her previous work performance shouldn’t matter. She lied, blamed you and they just accepted this.
