We are due to go in sept 21.
Hopefully we will have our first covid vacine in march followed by the second one either 6 or 12 weeks later depending on if the government listen to the senior doctors.
I don't believe the vacine will automatically allow you to enter America but hopefully stop us proving positive for covid for the tests prior to flying. Though our insurance does cover covid for 14 days prior to flying and if we should catch it there.
We need to pay for our accom and car in July so at least that gives us a bit more time.
One concern is how it affects virgin with flights and holidays upto August and if they go into admin will we get our money back and how long that will take

I moved ours to next august now. The fact Biden has said he wants international travellers to test 3 days prior to travelling and prove its negative and quarantine when entering the USA, I am glad I chose to move it. However if he does change the restrictions leading up to the summer I hope everyone who remains booked, hope you all have an amazing holiday

I personally think the measures are in place whilst they vaccinate, but I would shocked if they remain in place much past Summer.

Jabs in arms = falling numbers = easing of restrictions = borders open.

My (un-educated) guess if jabs continue at current rate is late summer (Aug).

The travel industry is on it's knees and will lobby Gov if Covid rates allow them to.

The UK & US are currently leading the way in terms of vaccinations bar Israel & UAE.

Have faith

If Biden’s pledge of 100 million vaccines in a 100 days pays off, it should look a lot more promising by end of April. 🤞🏼

Yeah, I think tthat takes us to mid April, and the weather will start to warm and things will really look up !
I want to swim in a Florida Pool with my daughters, and I want to be able to teach my youngest (5) to swim before we get there. She already thinks she can swim, which given she can't is quite dangerous.

What insurance company are you with that has that cover? Need to look at insurance as our natwest policy doesn’t cover us.

I think mike4scuba has sadly cancelled his September trip - I think I saw a thread about it.

Yes! I have a son who was exactly the same before our first trip. We had to teach him to do a width of the pool to make sure he was ready for the whole Disney experience. He still spent most of the time hanging on to me at the water parks but it was nice to let him play in the small pools at OKW with his big sister and watch from a sun lounge.

Had June 2020 cancelled , we’ve booked for 22nd August 2021 departure 🙏 Trying to remain optimistic, still doing overtime for extra dollars. Gone from ‘I’m not going if we have to wear masks’ to looking for all sorts to match outfits 😷🙏🌈
