TSA Bans GE coca-cola bottles?

apple.news/AWJYzGZ9UR0eKIxsxtFyWfw

I’m hoping this is is just TSA humour 🤣 but from past experience, they don’t appear to have one.

People coming back with these, keep us updated with any problems.

Where does it say they are banned?
They are replica film props.

I believe from the TSA reply to the twitter question is that the inference is that they class these as “replica” Grenades!. But again I’m hoping this is just nonsense.

Why would the official TSA post nonsense?

Inference? ok so they possible may be banning replica grenades from the future (or not)

I’ll just buy a normal tin of Pepsi then... and say it’s a replica Coke

I’m sure it won’t affect many.

When you read the actual tweet, they didn’t directly address the specific issue of the coke bottles...they just said “replica and inert” explosives aren’t allowed, weirdly they they don’t say these bottles are banned(or indeed that these silly plastic coke bottles would be classed as mentioned)That’s why I mentioned inference, as it leads us to draw a conclusion.

Either way I shall be bring back a few for my shelf lol - I’ll let you know how I get on 🤣

Would not surprise me if they've banned these items - Viktor Rolf Spicebomb aftershave is banned by many airports (the container is a replica of a hand grenade).

Add to that the "Inside Gatwick" / "BBC Airport" type programmes on TV - there have been instances on there where children have had large super-soaker type water pistols confiscated at security. This was despite the face they were bright green & orange and clearly not a weapon, but they resembled one by their shape.

Edit: The above relates to carry-on baggage. Certainly expect your checked bag to get searched by the TSA is you check any of these items in.
