Booked Expedia- one leg cancelled
Hi guys,
My niece has booked her Florida flight with expedia, its indirect, LHR-Amsterdam-Tampa. One of the legs is with KLM and this has been cancelled... Expedia have said she can have a refund of this leg... I have said they have to refund the whole ticket as it was bought as a through ticket not individual flights... Is my thinking correct? She is worried she wont get her refund Thanks guys xx |

Yes you’re correct however don’t expect anything soon.
I had an Air France/KLM flight booked via Expedia in March that Air France cancelled the 1st leg of the outbound trip. Despite Expedia saying I would receive my refund in 4-7 days, after 30 days of zero I applied via AMEX for a Sec 75 |

I came on to see if I could find an answer to this as just had an email from Expedia to say outbound flight cancelled and offering 3 alternative options- 3rd one was refund which is what I would want (we were going to visit Dd on her CEP which is now cancelled)
Hoping if I email and say refund please they will also give us flight back refund too |

A leg of my flight with KLM was cancelled and I got a brand new direct flight, they did offer alternative indirect flights but they were terrible so I said no. Couldn’t get a refund though.

I think both my flights are sorted now as no longer showing on the apps. Just need to watch to see if refund appears as no email back from expedia

My flights were cancelled and were booked through Expedia. Spoke to someone yesterday at Expedia who initiated a refund and said it would be about 8 weeks before monies went back on credit card. Not had email yet confirming this yet, but flights have gone off booking. Got email for cancelled hotel and says 30 days for monies to be returned for that.

My flights were with ebookers, BA cancelled them last week then Expedia contacted me the same day by email offering a change of flights or a refund (I'm assuming Expedia are dealing with ebookers reservations as they are the parent company). I requested the refund option and the money appeared in my account this morning, so took a week to process.
