Should we love those we hate?

As per the title should we love those people we hate. I haven't really thought this through in any detail but if everyone loved the people they hate then no one would hate anyone because we would love those we love and also love those we hate.

Any opinions from my dibb family always welcome?

Interesting idea but what do you do about people like Adolf Hitler or Jimmy Saville? Not sure we can show them any love.

No, because to hate someone there’s got to be a VERY good reason.

To dislike someone is different, but I still don’t think I could love some of the people I don’t like.

I detest those people, so it would only apply to people we hate and not detest.

Although some people don't need a good reason to hate others.

I don’t hate anyone but one person that’s did me out of some money aged 19, that person I would be so happy if something nasty happend to her! It actually affected my life, apart from that I dislike some people but don’t really hate any. I think if you dislike them it’s easier not to have them in your life, too much effort to put up with BS! 🤦

Sandra, I am a fully unqualified therapist so can I ask you some questions about this person that you hate. How much money was involved and I guess if you were 19 at the time then that was probably in the 1950s?

Consciously though, most do. If someone doesn’t have a good reason, they’re definitely incapable of loving them 😂

I take your point and as I initially mentioned I haven't really thought this through in any detail. What if the person you hate bought you a quarter chicken nandos with 2 sides then surely that would help you to love them?

I won’t go into details on here but it was 1983 and I was working in Debenhams, I feel so stupid for being sucked in and now I don’t trust people! So called friend who abandoned her kids and they still live round this area.
