I am on last episode ... it has to be some of the most important TV in living memory

Loved the first episode, think Russell T Davies will handle the sad with humour if you know what I mean, hes such a great writer.

Loved this - I was a young teenager in the 80s and hadn’t realised just how bad things were. I recently watched the Normal Heart which also covered the AIDS crisis (but set in New York) and have done quite a bit of reading on it since, so really enjoyed how this programme handled it from a UK perspective - going to catch up on the rest tomorrow ❤️

I’ve binge watched the rest of it today and am so saddened that people were treated in that way in my lifetime. Shouted at my TV more than once!

Have to confess to being an emotional wreck during most of the episodes. The whole series was so well written and thought-provoking, with fantastic performances by all involved.

I did at first too but then again its a sign of great writing. I laughed and cried at every episode but episode 3 REALLY shook me with a twist

Literally just at start of first episode. I think it's just about to get less funny.

Just finished watching all the episodes.
So well observed .Joyful and heartbreaking at the same time .Its so recent but we forget what things were like .We shouldn’t .
If you enjoyed this you might enjoy an earlier film called Pride.

You’re the second person who has mentioned this film today. My friend from work is going to bring the dvd in for me to borrow.
