That I got through my first ever General Anaesthetic yesterday

I had a mole removed a couple of months ago and it came back as turning cancerous although not quite a full-blown melanoma. However, they wanted to treat it as such. I had to get a wider local excision and a skin flap under a GA. I have literally NEVER been so scared in my whole life. They didn't give me a pre-med to calm me down but then I didn't really ask for one (although I kinda wish I had now! ) They let hubby stay until I got taken down which isn't policy so was very good of them. I cried from the minute they took me down to surgery until the minute they put me under, was a total basket case! Fell asleep mid sentence haha! However, it's done, I'm through it and I survived 😜

Just the results to wait for now 😳 although they are almost 100% they got it all when the mole was removed so fingers crossed!

Now just to wait till 25th to get booking 😜

Well done for being brave! I had my wisdom teeth out a couple of years ago, I held my teddy so tight when Ben had to leave. I was the same and was mid sentence when they knocked me out!

Well done to you, we see things on the TV, like Casualty and others and see people counting down til them go under, but in really you are just gone and then wake up, as if time had stood still.

Hope they have got the whole area clear and look forward to your holiday.

Thanks everyone! Believe it or not, I need to get wisdom teeth out in middle of May! Under sedation though, not completely knocked out. Will be glad when summer comes and all my traumas are over! 😝
