We did last ryanair flight after a very bumpy landing. And when we flew home from florida the day of the attempted terror attack on glasgow airport. We were diverted to Prestwick and very glad to b home.

Hahahahahahahahahaha! This made me guffaw I know, why do they do that? My dad was a very miserable man and used to say, 'Look at them clapping like seals waiting for their dinner'.

We've been on a couple of flights to Florida where people have started clapping when the plane lands.
I assumed it was from excitement and can't see anything wrong with it.

Only ever had clapping on one flight and I think it was my dd that started it. She was almost 2 on her first flight to Orlando and I can remember saying to her as we landed " yeah we're here, we're where Mickey lives" she was so excited that she started clapping her hands so of course myself and dh and our 2 older kids joined her. It wasn't long before everyone around us had joined in

I think on a flight to Orlando especially there is clapping as the kids are so excited to be finally there
