Disney AP 4 SON, and AP perks
So I know , they can be funny with AP perks at Disney, (although we did manage to blag a AP/DVC discount on our last day!(They asked if we are AP or DVC pass holders, and I replied tongue in cheek; “of course we are!”) so, does anyone have an experience, I don’t like going in every time to say my son has needs etc, (even though it only took 5 mins tops last time,) so if we got him an AP would we be able to register his DAS for the year, or is it just forth duration of that trip?
In addition for his discount perk does he need to be there to pay? I can’t really see this being an issue, but sometimes there are strange details you have to adhere to.

Nope. I have an Annual Pass and was told I would still need to go back to reregister on my next visit as the Access only lasts for a set number of weeks at a time.
With the discounts you have to show a pass that is separate to the magic band and they do sometimes ask for ID to match up with it. That said a few times I used my Mums AP discount card by mistake as we were sharing a bag and got away with it. I think it would depend on the person at the til to be honest.
