Hey everyone

first time to Orlando in august and we really want to do this, what I wanted to ask is it necessary to prebook we will be doing one of the midweek nights in august or can we just buy them when we get there ? reason being we want to use our gift card to purchase the tickets

If I don't remember wrongly, the first party tends to sell out. Other parties can and do sell out, though not entirely sure how August will be.

If you absolutely can only make one date then I'd buy tickets as early as you can to make sure you have tickets, as once they're sold out they're sold out!

Could you buy your MNSSHP tickets, and keep your gift card for purchases in the parks like food and souvenirs? Or since you're staying on site, you could also perhaps use your gift card to pay off any charges made to the room (Magic Band charging is the most amazing thing ever)? I personally prefer using a gift card/Magic Band while in WDW as it saves me the agony of dealing with change in an unfamiliar currency!

keep in mind that booking in advance gets you a smallish discount on those tickets.

so if you want to use your GC for those tickets, be sure to do it online when you get your gift card, at least 24hrs before the party

there is always a risk a party sells out, so it's entirely up to you

as the previous poster said, you can use your GC to settle your room charges.
