I don't know what it's like at Tampa, but at Orlando we never contacted them but as soon as we got to security a guard noticed us and lifted the ropes for us to walk straight thru, still doesn't help with bag reclaim which took an age

Thanks! Absolutely love Dibbers for the straight-up advice. Thanks to this thread we have got extra assistance from BA, who have been fantastic. Our seats have been allocated together, and we have a map of the airport. BA have advised us to go to the special assistance desk at Gatwick and make ourselves known, so they can arrange support with us. We can also pick up sunflower lanyards there.
We will also have a keyword on our tickets/booking that discretely alerts staff that we may require special assistance. My son is overjoyed that he may have a quiet place to wait in the airport. We are really really looking forward to the whole holiday now, instead of dreading the whole travelling experience. Edited at 10:18 PM. |

We are traveling BA Gla-Lhr-Mia in June.
Would you happen to have to contact details for Miami? It might just be me but I can’t find an email address only a phone number for assistance in Mia. BA have been great, our DD likes/needs to have a window seat with no one behind, so we’re in row 37 on a BA b747, which actually gets terrible reviews, no seat recline but it’s ideal for our DD and that ideal for us! |
