Me and my friend are planning to go in 2020. We will book through either virgin, tui or thomas cook. Each got a holiday budget of 2500 not including spending, but would be flights, tickets and dining service. Also would be planning 2800 spending money for 2 weeks.

Is this doable, also any tips for when best to book would be appreciated. And who is the best company to go for?

Thanks

As someone who does things on a budget, I'd say that's a pretty high budget per person.

In context, I was able to book my holiday in December 2019 (hotel at lake buena vista, flights GLA-LGW-MCO, transfers to/from hotel and disney tickets) for £1200pp (based on 2). Estimating £200pp for Lyft. Overall I expect the total cost of the holiday to be £1500pp, not including food or buying gifts etc.

We normally budget £1500pp for on-site with free dining, park tickets and flights. We never book through a travel agent, we book direct with Disney then get our flights separately nearer the time.
April is the best time to book as that's when free dining is usually released

Most travel agents and Disney themselves have 2020 prices available now. I'd start by getting quotes from everyone and seeing what's what. Some agents will price match. There are plenty of Disney specialist travel agents like My Magic Holiday, plus Kenwood, Ocean Florida and you can also book hotel and tickets direct with Disney, then add flights to make a package once they are released at 11 months before. Definitely shop around.

Edit - Free Dining is normally released the 3rd week of April, but of course there's no guarantee this will happen. I'd personally wait and see before booking anything if that's what you're after.

Thanks for the tips. Never thought about booking separatley. If it's gonna be cheaper we will do that. Might start price comparing now.

Depends what they want, it would be a low budget for onsite deluxe hotel for example. I thought the £2,800 each spending money is extremely high though, especially if on a dining plan.

It's a toss up between all star resort or art of animation. All star looks cheaper but animation looks more disney. Which would be better cause we wanting the full disney experience?

Would you think $2000 would be better to take. 150ish for each day

If it’s offered again then you would get the free breakfast at All Stars but not Art of Animation. You can upgrade that to one of the other dining plans but sometimes it’s not much more to upgrade the hotel. Your spending money budget then changes depending on whether you need to buy any food. I would hold off until Disney release their 2020 offer whatever it may be then price up all options and decide from there. I don’t think there’s any point deciding on a resort only to discover it’s not included in any offers.

So I really love art of animation but also love all stars. All Star Movies is the most "disney" one but Pop Century is also very good and a bit more Disney than All Stars. Art of Animation is a lovely resort.

I tend to take around $100 a day for me on my own.

so much cheaper doing it all yourself
we have used Travel Republic in the past and already booked 14 nights with them for a hotel near to Disney (£550) and then for the remaining 7 nights will keep an eye on the prices lowering for 1 of the Universal Hotels

just keep your eyes on the flight prices..always see prices with Thimas cook & Virgin drop as low as £350 per person return to Manchester but have read others get them cheaper.
you have plenty of time to plan dont be in too much of a rush to get it all done in 1 go.
