A Surprise return To The Beach Club - Day 13

Our last full day, how does it always come round so quickly? I usually like to get the packing out of the way, so after breakfast on the balcony again we all did our own thing for a while. I stayed in the villa and spent an hour or so packing mine and Russ cases and the spare case with a lot of the shopping in it. Russ went out round the pool (I like to pack in peace on my own!) , Helen went to MK to do some last rides and to find a Tinkerbell ice cream! We had arranged to meet up at Disney Springs later in the day.
When I'd finished fighting with the suitcases , I joined Russ at the pool and we spent a couple of hours relaxing in the sun, reading and having a dip in the pool before having lunch at the Marketplace .
Once fed and watered we got a bus to the Springs where we went straight into the Coca Cola store to get some of the limited edition coke bottles for our nephew, and as we were coming out of there Helen messaged to say she was nearly there so we went to meet her at the bus stop and headed straight to the House of Blues bar for a cold drink and to enjoy some live music before browsing the store. We wandered around doing a bit more shopping, and when Helen was buying stuff in the Harley Davison shop I was happy to see the same top that I got for $19.99 at the outlet, on sale for $74.99! I love thinking I've got a bargain 😆
We had an ADR at Planet Hollywood for 7.30 and we hadn't eaten there in a few years so we're looking forward to trying the new menu. We were shown to a table next to the kitchen door, so asked to be moved as the door was opening and closing constantly and servers passing with dirty plates. Once we moved, we got settled down with lovely drinks and waited for our food (no bread service here). The server wasn't very attentive at all and we're still waiting to order a second drink! When the entrees came they all looked nice but Russ said his burger was just ok, my steak was awful - so dry, and the veg was really hard and tasteless and and I left most of it, Helen ordered fish, she got the same veg, and she too only ate a small amount of it - so disappointing and when the server took the plates away he didn't even comment. Desserts were better, but not amazing and to be honest we couldn't wait to leave, we left a much smaller tip than expected. We could have kicked ourselves, as there are so many fab places to eat at DS 😕, still you live and learn! When we got back to the villa, Helen did her packing and we went for a hot chocolate before bed. Almost time for home!

Such a shame your meal let you down - haven't been to Planet Hollywood for years and don't think I'll go back this trip..😕

What a lovely last day (although last days always feel a bit sad). Such a shame you didn’t enjoy Planet Hollywood, we ate here this trip and actually quite enjoyed it.
