Flybe and Virgin flights question
Hi everyone, we’ve booked our flights with virgin and we’re doing a Flybe flight first to get to Manchester airport. Has anyone done this? Will our luggage get checked right through or will we need to collect it when we land in Manchester and check it back in again with virgin? Also if anyone has done this were you able to book your seats with Flybe? It won’t let me on virgin manage my booking! TIA

Are your flights on one ticket? If so then I’d say yes they will put the bags thru to your final destination, I’m sure flybe is a partner airline of virgin. Plus virgin have bid to take over flybe and rebrand them as virgin planes

Yes, I've done that combination before flying Flybe from Aberdeen then Virgin from Manchester.
It was all one booking so my bag was transferred straight from the FlyBe plane to the Virgin one. I was worried it wouldn't be as the flight arrived late and I basically ran all the way through Manchester airport to find boarding halfway through. I can't really remember the procedure for seat booking but I think you should be able to do it if you login to FlyBe. |

Thank you! Yes all on one ticket so should go straight though then (fingers crossed!) I’m concerned about the run through Manchester airport too, especially getting between the terminals! How long did it take you lov2dibb?

It was pretty quick really, about 15 minutes I think.
Easy enough to do - I don't know if it'll be the same for you but I had to change terminals from 3 to 2 but there's an airside bus between them so no need to redo security etc. I was just stressed as my plane was about an hour late arriving. |

We are doing flybe virgi n flights in April in opposite direction - manchester to glasgow then onto Orlando ! Im assuming it will be same for us and we will check luggage in manchester straight through to orlando. We always usually go from Manchester direct but at the price -£566 for 2 economy classic flights - was much cheaper than flying from Manchester.

Hi Maureen - from my FlyMayBe experiences they interline with VA/other long haul carriers, you'll check your luggage at Man and collect at MCO.
Have a smashing holiday Maureen
