16 month medical / travel insurance question
DD has been accepted onto the HRC programme at Epcot for 15 months, her flight is booked so I'm now in the very confusing area of insurance.
Disney state she must have proof of medical insurance, but I'm getting quotes pop up for travel as well as medical insurance. Are these the same thing or do I need both? I need a 16 month policy for her, not going to cut costs on this, but just not sure which path to take. If anyone has any advice or recommendations that would be great. |

Pick the phone up and explain your predicament to the insurance companies.

I expect when they say medical insurance it is what we regard as medical section of a travel ins policy. I know insureandgo do long stay policies so check them. They can offer up to 18 months.

You're welcome. Take a look at Staysure as well as they also offer Long Stay insurance up to 18 months. They have a basic option and a comprehensive option with the difference mostly around sums insured per section eg 5m medical on basic, 10m on comprehensive and so on across the sections. Look at accessing via quidco or top cash back if either company offers that to make a saving.

Hiya f1girly - hubs and I require 180 day long stay cover, it may be worth contacting these insurers re your daughter:
Go Walk About AA Travel Insurance Just Travel Boots Travel Insurance On Boots cover this trip, I was admitted into hospital a week after arrival, Boots underwriter well on the ball and took over all communications with the hospital billing dept immediately.
