Heading into the Sunset day 7 Epcot and the Kitchen Sink

Weather today 83d part cloudy.

Everyone but Russ and I were being very slow this morning, when we wanted to get away to Epcot, so in the end we left them still making breakfast and set off, arranging to meet outside the Seas pavilion later.
We love everything about Epcot, and enjoyed looking at the flower displays again as we passed. When we went into the Land to get FP for Soarin we noticed that there was a very big group in the park - you couldn't move or get near Sunshine Seasons, so we got a Mickey Bar instead and went over for a ride on Nemo before meeting the others, who turned up on time :-) thinking they could walk onto Soarin ... Amateurs! Our FP time was still 40 mins away, so we went back over to get their FPs and ended up giving ours to a grateful couple, getting some more so we could do it together later in the afternoon. We then had a look around the rest of the Land, the Seas and got on Test Track without too much of a wait. I managed to catch Jack out with the Beverly drink, and they spent some time in Innovations.

We then walked over to the World Showcase checking out Canada and UK on our way to the International Gateway for another first for our lovely little family, walking along the banks of the Seine to the Beach Club where we were going to try to beat the Kitchen Sink. We checked in at the podium and were told it would be 35 mins, so while waiting, we started showing them around the resort that we love so much, but the buzzer went off after only 20 mins. We were shown to a booth and decided to have bowls of chilli, fries and onion rings to share which were all lovely and not too much between all 6 of us before the main event. For those who haven't done it yet, the lights start flashing and the Kitchen Sink is paraded around the restaurant to the table where you have individual dishes. We all dug in and only left a smear of ice cream - it was lovely but we were all ready for a lay down! The bill for 3 chillies, 4 fries, 1 onion rings and the KS was $83 which included the 18% tip. Russ and I silently told the BC we'd be back next year.

We waddled very slowly back to the IG, where we decided to exchange our paper tickets for the green plastic ones. This was done in a couple of minutes and we walked around the WS popping into countries as we passed. Jack bought some Transformers in Mitsukoshi, Russ bought the dog a bowl and they bought me a ticket to pick a pearl, which I've been wanting to do for ages.
It was time to go back to Soaring, and it was their first time, so I asked for front row seats which we got, and everyone loved it. We then went on Spaceship Earth, did some of the games afterwards and sent email postcards home. Then after visiting the Art of Disney we went and looked in the garden shops on the way out. I bought a lovely metal lantern on a spike for the garden. David, Jo and Jack headed off and we went back to the WS as we were going to watch Illuminations, but Helen wasn't well, so after a coffee in Norway we headed back to the villa to find the other in the pool, and had a lazy night.
