independence of the sea

We just seen this cruise ship on the cruise channel. Has anyone done this cruise from Southampton to Florida?

Its 18 nights in total sailing around the Caribbean and then 3 nights in Florida staying at Rosen Pointe. Coach from Glasgow to Southampton. Flight back to Glasgow from Florida. Full board. balcony room

2 adults and 1 child £5000 is this price ok? we have never cruised before.

TIA 😊

I do think this is decent value but I would not pick this as your first cruise.

Transatlantic cruises are often cheaper because they have a lot of sea days and few port days. If you find out you're not a fan of sea days it's a long cruise to realise that on! The Indy has loads of activities and she's a lovely ship, but I would be looking at a shorter more conventional cruise with less sea days for your first. Even as someone who has been on 6 cruises I'd be a little hesitant to book a transatlantic.

We’ve booked a transatlantic for next year on Independence Of The Seas. Been on a couple of cruises before but first time on Royal Caribbean and transatlantic. Really looking forward to it 😊

We have never been on a transatlantic cruise before but we have been to Hawaii from LA with four other couples, so plenty of company. We had four sea days on the way out and four sea days on the way back. We were all bored and said we wouldn’t do it again.

We went to the quizzes, played Uno (that was fun), the weather out and back was rubbish and too cold to sit outside so inside was a bit full. Four of the girls went to Hawaiian dance classes and became part of a show, which was good. It was some years ago so memory is fading.

Hi we’re doing the cruise only as we’re staying at the gulf coast for 2 weeks in May and our cruise is in October. If your happy with the price for cruise and stay I would definitely go for it 👍

Our first two cruises were Westbound transatlantics, although on the Disney Magic. I was really scared I would hate it, feel seasick or drown but it was amazing and I am a cruise convert. We spent 5 days in NYC after the first one and I did get motion sickness once we were off the ship.

I'm doing the Eastbound this May on Independence, from Florida, round Caribbean and into Southampton. I'm looking forward to no jet lag the most!
