Easter 2020
We haven't found an Easter 2020 thread, so we thought we'd start one for people to give others "heads up" of offers and availability when they come up. We've found them really useful in the past.
Kayak seems able to search for flights 12 months in advance - although usually no flights available that early, but at least you can enter details and get alerted when flights get released. We presume Skyscanner is the same. Are there any other sites/apps that will alert you? We are 3xA and 1x14yo. Flights - We're looking at flying out Sat 28th March, returning Saturday 18th April, but can be flexible within this dates if the price is lower. Direct or indirect. Any airline. Used to pay around £500 each, although summer 2019 paid £350 indirect with Delta/Virgin and Christmas 2019 paid £480 direct with Norwegian. Flying London to Orlando or Tampa - this year flights to Tampa were around £200 cheaper in the summer. Hotel - Extended Stay Lake Buena Vista suits us perfectly. 2 Queens and a sofa bed, plus basic cooking facilities in the room and free cold breakfast. Usually pay around £50 per night, although this year it seems around £70 per night. If anyone knows any other hotels that have three beds, please let us know. Car - Intermediate SUV gives us space and luxury. Used to be around £350 for three weeks, but seems to have doubled in the last year. Park tickets - we're buying Disney and Universal APs as we will be visiting 3 times within 12 months. Happy searching everyone!

Also a possible Easter 2020 candidate . Good idea on Kayak, ill set an alert up as soon as it will allow. Our Easter dates are from around the 2nd April - 20th so we tie in with school. I know Easter is a v busy time to go, im just rather concerned about 'how' busy it will be, esp as it will be the main first holiday of SW's land opening . Still playing with the idea of last two weeks of Aug or just a week in Oct - decisions! .
Goof luck with your 2020 planning xx Edited at 12:14 PM. |

How many people please?
We've read bad things about Virgin fly drives - basically that the car insurance only provides very basic cover and costs a fortune to top up. Is that still the case?

For us, that config comes out at £4729.
For 3A and 1x14yo we're expecting to pay around £2000 for flights, £500 for car and £1000 for hotel.

That's what we've paid for the last few years, give or take a bit. Indirect flights are usually around £500 if you book as soon as they are released - not usually Virgin, we just go with the cheapest. We get the SUV packaged with the flights when we book with Dial a Flight. We book the hotel separately with hotels.com (sometimes have to get them to price match Trivago).
