It depends on so many things. How busy immigration is, whether you have a hire car or using magical express for example. I would say a couple of hours.

if you fly indirect via a US airport, or preclear like in Dublin, and don't have to go through immigration, and have a hire car for which you have done a skip the counter thingie, and if your luggage come through quick ... it can be done in under an hour (personnal experience)
if you have to go through immigration, then it's pot luck. Immigration will take anywhere between 15 minutes and a couple of hours. If you have to take the DME on top of that, it can take over a couple of hours if your question is about "how early can I expect to make a dining reservation after landing", or "will we be able to go to a park after we arrive", the general answer will be : don't make any plans or resevation for that evening |

Even if you get through immigration in 15 minutes, as we did in Nov 2018, you can still wait another 45 minutes for the carousel to start, as we did in Nov 2018

I will admit that, the year we did it in under 1hr (55 minutes from landing to parking at the lobby at AoA) we had cleared immigration in Atlanta, we went carry on only, so no carousel for us, and skipped the counter with alamo. I think that's about as fast as you can get it done
the other thing that needs taking into account, is how long they'll hold you on a plane when the immigration hall is full (on one occasion we also had the plane held, yards from the gate, because the ground staff had not arrived to help park the bird... Edited at 06:53 PM. |

Always do STC with Alamo. If you see two septuagenarians moving like Usain Bolt between monorail 4 and the escalators to ground transportation on side B it could be us.

That's us. Mine will be the first one after MCO on 417 south and Joan's probably the unmanned one at junction 2.

OP
Apologies for the light hearted tone but seriously it can take anything between 15 minutes and 2 hours just to get through immigration. Experienced both arriving in MCO maybe 16 times since 2008. Then collecting car or taxi or MDE (which we've never done). No amount of pre-planning (unless you're coming via another US airport as chmurf) can change those timings. It's not just a handful of UK flights landing late-afternoon for instance, it's the dozens of other international flights. No international flights within say 20 minutes before you then you may do it in 15 minutes. Three international arrivals within 20 minutes before you and there could be three 747s waiting in the hall - maybe 1,200 people. Mick

We landed 6.35 but took ages to get off the plane. Immigration itself was OK but the customs bit with the white form was chaos. By the time we got to the Magic Express desk it was 9pm and then we had to wait 30 min for the coach to fill up. It was gone 10pm by the time we got to SSR.
The previous time we were delayed by 5 hours due to snow, so it was gone 10pm that time too!
