Parking at south beach Miami

Has anybody parked here recently and can recommend somewhere? I was hoping more pay in advance so you have a space, but happy to go anywhere.

We drove down about 9am in July and there were lots of public parking spaces along the front streets. It was Pay and Display. We had a short walk onto the beach.

There is plenty of parking around South Beach, but not on the streets. Use any of the municipal and private parking multi storeys or drop the car off at any of the big hotels, like Loewes. Hotel valet parking will be expensive at around $40 a day or part day, but the city parks are much cheaper. There is a city car park in the side street opposite Loewes between Collins and Washington avenues, which will cost about $13 a day. But there is plenty of choice all around there. It is not necessary or even possible to book your spot in advance as there is always room.
