Tolls & Sunpass

We shall be driving from Miami airport to the keys, onto Cape Coral and back to Miami airport. Should we pay for tolls with cash or is a sunpass a pre payment system?

I prefer cash, but if the first toll booth of my journey each day is Sunpass / electronic only I continue that day to use the system as I’ve automatically activated it and will be charged the day $4 ish.

I have a car booked with Alamo at Miami I know there tolls leaving that area... do I have to ask for a sun pass or will it automatically activate when I go thruogh a toll and once it is activated is it best to just keep using the sun pass for the rest of the holiday.

I have the car booked for 10 days what sort of cost will the tolls be?

Thanks hugging that is very helpful I always thought there was a toll just outside Miami airport just before you get on the I-95
