I’m a teacher and as much as I won’t condone taking a pupil out of school, there are exceptions to the rules- plus he is only in Y7! We have plenty of pupils who go out in y10/11 (which is when you really have to worry! )

Hi, in our school (Wales) the year 7 "exams" National Literacy and Numeracy tests are being held between 25th April to May 9th. National tests dates in England might vary slightly but not by much. I would talk to the Head Teacher as previously suggested to explain your request, under the circumstances I am sure the school would look favourably on your situation. Good luck

Year 6 have SATs exams in May. My eldest is year 8 and he didn’t have any exams last year in year 7.
