Mobile A non Disney and Uni trip park ideas..

Having returned in November after 3 weeks , we are looking to go back again this year (summer) but thinking as we over did Disney and Universal plus mnsshp , ( did a park every day) we are thinking we are going to skip the Disney and uni side of things this time...

Kids are 8 and 5... (Eldest been 4 times and 5yr old twice in 3 years).

Thinking this time..

SW, BG & AQ (been before but not on last trip)
Lego Land (been 3 years ago)
Space Centre (never been)
Gatorland or florida wildlife park (never been)
Day / Night at Clearwater (went 3 years ago)

Any other "tourist attractions" with a theme park feel which I have missed ?

Thanks

Maybe go watch Orlando City Soccer team? The backlot pre game stuff is great fun for all the family.

There are new golf (looks quite fun) and go karting off Universal boulevard that look quite good.

Maybe consider a split trip, half in Orlando & half on the coast. That is what we have decided for our non park holiday this summer (we blitzed Disney & Universal at Christmas, it was our first time in Florida and we loved it and are going straight back as without park tickets it seems better value than a villa holiday in europe in august).

We probably won't do any parks (maybe a day at a water park) but our kids are all teens+ and we have a villa in Cape Coral with a boat for a week where we should have fun exploring beaches and islands.

Our plan takes us to Orlando for five nights at the end. I did question why we were even doing that but if the weather turns wet/stormy there are more options there I think, and we may go out to Kelly Park tubing and over to west coast for a day. We did Kennedy Space centre at Christmas and loved that, your kids may be a bit young if they are not interested in space though.

Thanks - SPace Centre is a must for my 8 year old... we was thinking a few days in Clearwater also... flights are now booked - arriving into MCO and departing from Tampa so that could set us up for a beach stay at the end of the trip nicely..

An airboat ride? Showcase of Citrus is a nice couple of hours and can usually be found on Groupon. My DD is very interested in visiting the Titanic Experience. One of the crazy mini golf courses is also on our list for next time as we've never managed in in 5 trips!

My kids (11,9,5) all enjoyed Wonderworks if the tickets are on offer, certainly filled a wet afternoon.

Would definitely recommend a few beach days too!

A state park would be a nice visit. Blue State and De Leon both have a boat trip, seen gators every time. Springs you can swim in. Bravard Zoo is lovely and have a great kids play area (take swim wear), if any of yours are girls they may enjoy Weeki Wachee Springs State Park for the mermaids - its over clearwater way
