Flying from Bristol...what time should i book our taxi for?
We only live an hour from bristol and will be booking a mini bus to take us to the airport.
Our Thomson flight departs at 10.20am. Do you think 6am would be early enough or is that cutting it fine?

Hi,
Being that your flight is on a Friday, and what the traffic is like, I would suggest 0500 departure at the latest. Ok so you get to the airport just after 0600 IF ALL GOES WELL..(how long to go around the M50 or Gloucester if there is bridge closures ? )Tui check in at BRS is usually very slow (unless PE) so someone is standing at check in while you sit down opposite and have a cuppa, no rush, less stress, or you could do an overnight at the onsite hotel and just stroll across to check in..hope you have a great time. |

Cutting it too fine for me, I always add on an extra hour just in case of a flat tyre or a detour.

Quick edit: I'm so glad you asked the question, it prompted me to look at hotels again near the airport and I discovered the Hampton Hilton Bristol Airport which is to me as I haven't travelled from there for a few years. Just 250 metres from the terminal so I'm going to book. I, too, am an hour from the airport but from over the bridge, this is a boon for me. Edited at 05:44 PM. |

the traffic on the M5M$ interchange is gong to be the biggest challenge that time of the morning and it will certainly not be busy anytime before 6:30 Whereabouts over the bridge are you
