Board Walk

It's something that we never got around to doing.
What is there to do on the boardwalk? Is it just really pretty, ie a quick stroll or are there things to see / eat / do?

Awesome, thanks. So it is just another resort, then? I think I got the wrong impression from some trip reports that it's a bit like Springs, but way, way smaller.

It's not just another resort, but it isn't like Springs either. It hard to describe.

It is a much smaller Disney Springs type of thing with shops and restaurants. Some evening street entertainment. But it is also a DVC resort too.

You will find it quite busy in the evenings with a good atmosphere.

It's a nice place for a stroll. There are a few shops and restaurants and it has a nice step-back-in-time feeling. Also, you can get the boat to DHS from there. I think it's pretty but not necessarily a destination unless you were planning on eating there.

After visiting Disney for several years we finally found visited the boardwalk in 2014, we really enjoyed it. We had a wonder round one evening and then we went back there one afternoon and had a lovely meal at one of the restaurants. Well worth a visit x

I wouldn't go out of my way to visit there as I found it a bit underwhelming, but it is good to look around if you can book and ADR for one of the restaurants there.

As others have said its better to visit in the evening when the street entertainers are around. Its a 5 minute walk from Epcot World Showcase if you wanted to try it in an Epcot day/evening

It's meant to represent an Atlantic City type seaside. At night there are entertainers along the boardwalk itself. (It equates to our seaside piers.) You can sit and have a drink and enjoy the atmosphere. If you have no kids try Jellyrolls for a fun evening (duelling pianos) - 21s and over only. Or the Atlantic Dance Hall - a place to get your dance on, with DJs and bands. Experience music from the 80s through today. Tuesday through Saturday nights.

Note that the Flying Fish Cafe (a superb restaurant) is closed from Feb. 1, 2016 to Nov. 12, 2016.
