Tampa Bay Rays play in Tampa. Tickets are not on sale yet, but their schedule is here (hopefully).

Looking at your countdown, I think that you'll miss the NBA. Their season is October to April.

Another baseball option is the Lakeland Flying Tigers, not quite in Tampa but fi you have a car it's not far and is a cheaper option and a great night out at the ballpark. They are a feeder team for the Detroit Tigers. Here is a linkhttp://www.milb.com/index.jsp?sid=t570

We've been thinking about doing a baseball game instead of a football game this year. Can anyone who has been to the Tampa Bay Ray stadium tell me whether the stands are covered. We're going in August and I really wouldn't fancy sitting out in the sun for hours during the day.

Tropicana Field, the home of the Tampa Bay Rays is an indoor domed baseball field so you will have no issue with weather. We went in late August and it was about 35C outside but lovely climate controlled inside. It is a great experience, you will love it and the bring cold beer and food to you, what more can you ask for.

Thank Sparksy72. Because of the long drive I would prefer a day time game but was worried about the weather. Looking forward to this now!

There's a huge range of prices, we've gotten them anything from $10 up to $75, there are a lot more expensive available to buy too but they were too rich for our blood.

Sunday afternoon games have great family rate tickets.

Where do you buy the tickets, before you go on or while you are there? Thanks x
