Florida - just not Orlando - booked!

So we like to have a week in the Sun in December, usually one of the Canaries. However, whilst lying by the pool at the Avanti Resort during the second week of December we decided that we'd much rather be lying under the Florida sun. So fast forward 4 weeks since our return and we booked a Flydrive with BA last night, Glasgow-Gatwick-Tampa for £844 for the 2 of us. I'm so happy to know that we are heading back to the US this year, even if it's not Orlando.

Just need to find some nice beach accommodation. We've stayed at Treasure Island before, but would be interested in any recommendations for somewhere near the beach, with some restaurants etc nearby. It's a relaxing holiday so not looking for anything too strenuous to be doing during the day.

Hi, St.Pete beach has some nice hotels and lots of beach front bars and restaurants within walking distance of the hotels. We're hiring a condo for 3 days at St.Pete's for the first part of our trip to Florida in April-May.

We go in May or Sept and stay at the northern tip of the island-its still relatively quiet there then

We've been having a look at Madeira Beach and possibly Reddington Beach. I'll have a look at Anna Maria Island too, I've heard a lot about it on here.

Did you book your flydrive over the phone? Looking for prices, but our December dates aren't available yet online.

We have also booked a BA fly drive into Tampa for November, we are staying at The residence in treasure island , we stayed there in December it was fab.

No I booked it online, 9-16 December 2016 with a Group C car. DH usually likes to have an SUV if we are going to be doing a lot of driving but for our week in the sun he's happy to just have a car. Hope you get your's soon.
