Yeah a food report, something to help the time pass for my very long countdown to reduce.

Saturday 9th October

The day was finally here! We'd been watching Wesh news online for the past two nights and it looked like Orlando had been lucky and escaped the worst of the hurricane which was great news. After two and a half years, lots of saving, one wedding, one hurricane it was time to go!

The flight we'd been moved to was the afternoon flight so we didn't wake up super early. Because we were in the Radisson it was a short walk to the terminal. We decided to get breakfast in the airport instead of the breakfast included in the room to help us kill a bit of time as we wanted to get to the airport early.

We checked in and after an extremely stressful half an hour of checking in where the desk lady told us we weren't going anywhere, we'd been given bubble seats and were headed through security! We decided on The Spinning Jenny as there were lots of seats available and the menu looked good!

We both got the same, the breakfast burger for £8.45. Steve got a beer and I got a diet coke.

Steve really enjoyed his, I only managed half which I think was due to pre-flight nerves (I really hate take off!) so he ended up finishing mine!

I went to the Reds in Leeds when it first opened and REALLY loved it but have heard such mixed things about the Manchester one that we've never tried it

LOVE that breakfast burger at the Spinning Jenny though! x

Virgin Plane Food

We didn't bring any extra snacks onto the plane this time, we brought some for our last trip and we were absolutely stuffed once we landed and we couldn't fit in any dinner, so we decided to chance it!

We started with the standard pretzels and drinks, I had a diet coke and Steve had a Tiger

As we were in the bubble we were one of the first to be served dinner.

We both chose the loaded chilli beef melt but I gave my jalepenos to Steve

We both really enjoyed this! One of the nicest plane meals I've ever had! The Gu pudding was raspberry and white chocolate and that was really nice too.

Next up was the fab, which came about an hour after dinner I think

About an hour before landing they brought round the afternoon tea which was a sandwich, mini crisps and biscuit, and mints. The picture is not very good because we could barely move our arms enough to take a proper photo! We were happy to be in the bubble for immigration purposes but I would never sit in these seats again! I felt so sorry for the poor guy sat next to us, I felt so guilty asking him to get up!

The sandwich was cheese and pickle which neither of us like so we didn't bother with it.
