BA refurb IFE

Hi,

I’ve noticed by looking at the seat layout that we’re on the refurb going out from Gatwick to Orlando and wondered if there was a better selection of movies etc with the new IFE?

Thanks Ruth

Because of the seat layout, it’s a 3-4-3

We’ve just got home and we’re on an older plane with seating 3-4-3 with the dated IFE

Oh really? Someone popped up a plan recently and our flight number is down as a refurb.
We’re on a different seating plan coming home I noticed.

AH OK, we are on a 777 to FLL, not sure what you get on a 777.

We flew on refurbed planes out to Orlando and back from FLL. The IFE was loads better than on the older planes, so was the viewing experience on the screens.

We really liked our seats too, we had back row of first section flying out and 2 sets of the two's at the back flying home. Whilst the seats are narrower it seemed to be better for the knees (I have long legs!). And the food was better this time too..

We flew out on a refurb at the beginning of July and back on an old plane. The IFE on the refurb has a better bigger screen, is clearer and everything is accessed from the touch screen, no controls in the armrest. Headphones plug into the screen area. The selection was much the same as the older plane, only a couple of films missing on the way back. Still had the same dire music choice and TV options etc. The moving map was great though!

That’s good to know thanks! I thought the seats looked a bit narrower,I wish I had long legs to notice the difference 😉
